Eifel Cycling

The low mountain range between the Moselle and Rhine rivers and the towns of Trier and Aachen is covered by a dense area-wide network made up of main trails, link routes and loops. Stretching over the hilltops and valleys of the region, it presents its visitors with a varied landscape dominated by woodlands, lakes, and rivers.

The Eifel region is ideal for leisurely family bike excursions over disused railway tracks, gourmet trips along the many deep-gorged river valleys, or tours through nature parks and along the Eifel National Park. But even cyclists who like a bit of a challenge will not be disappointed. The never-ending series of ups and downs is breathtaking in every sense of the word. This wealth of options for moving along at an individual pace is what makes the Eifel region so attractive to cyclists. No matter from where you set off and where you are heading, the cycle network simply ignores regional and national borders to link up with national and international cycle routes at several points.
